If there's one place I enjoy riding above all others, it's here. The Cape Cod Canal is probably the most iconic recreation area in Massachusetts. With three picturesque bridges spanning the channel, this waterway provides an amazing backdrop to an otherwise flat ride. The path itself is only seven miles long but a prevailing wind can make riding it more than a challenge. Rollerblading, running, fishing, jogging, and walking are equally enjoyable here too. I prefer to park on the mainland side because I can add loops to Onset and Wareham. There also seems to be more parking on the mainland side.
Overall Rating: 5 stars
Features: Paved two-way traffic closed to cars, restrooms, visitor's center, and plenty of parking.
