The Mix Tape 2025

This year's edition of the Mix Tape was wet and sloppy. If last year's race was frosted flakes, this year's race was oatmeal. Yet, it was a blast and a good time was had by all. It's races like this that really define the New England biking scene. After all, a smooth trail never made a good cyclist...or something like that. As much as the terrain provides a challenge, so does the weather.

I'm just publishing this now (months later), but I've included a few pictures from the event. I personally enjoy the rougher side of gravel that borders on mountain biking, and I was surprised at how well my 2024 Specialized Diverge Comp handled the rough terrain. Compared to my old Cannondale Slate, the Diverge handled the gnarlier terrain just as well, if not better.
