Borderland State Park (Easton, MA)

On a disgustingly beautiful autumn day, I went for a walk at Borderland State Park. I've visited the park on bike many times over the years. The trails are quite rocky, especially towards the northern end of the park. On a hardtail, they're very technical and quite challenging. It's a great way to hone your handling skills and maybe break a bone.

However, on this day, I simply walked and imbibed the smells, sounds, and sights of our pristine northeastern forest. I was pleased to see that most of the trails were in good shape. There wasn't any deadfall or overgrowth in my way. I stuck mostly to the carriage road which runs the length of the park's 'base.' The mansion is always a fun to place to explore, and it appeared to have a few tours.

Overall, a great place to bring the family and go for a walk or run. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, a good place for mountain biking.
