Overall, there was a great turnout at this event. As far as organization and parking goes, this was probably the most accessible road race I've attended. Unlike some of the larger races, this one had only 120 participants, which wasn't surprising given that it's January and didn't get above 25 degrees! It was easy for me to just park, register, stretch, and run. The chowder afterwards was excellent too. Sponsors included Marathon Sports in Norwell and Spark Run Bike from Taunton. There were also some giveaways from Ocean Spray and a Vita Coco.
The course itself was relatively flat with a couple long straightaways. It moved fast and had a couple inclines, but mostly followed a level plane. I was surprised at how fast some runners were considering the extreme cold and wind. By the end of the race, most people agreed that their feet were frozen. This only made the chowder taste that much better! Great people, great cause, great race.
